B12-  1stPeter 1:1-9, 13-25[KJV+], 1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

3God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ … has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.  6Wherein you greatly rejoice, although now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, although it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”

13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy.

17And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.  24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away: 25But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

B12-  1stPeter 1:1-9, 13-25[EV], 1Peter, an Apostle of Christ Jesus, to the believers who are pilgrims1 scattered throughout the regions of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia2, and Bithynia32I am writing to those who, in accordance with the predetermined criteria1 set by God the Father2, are sanctifying their spirit and mind3 unto obedience to God through continually utilizing the anointing and cleansing4 power of the Holy Spirit provided to us through Christ Jesus5.S  I pray that you will continue to allow God’s unlimited abundance6 of Grace and Peace in Christ to thrive in your lives.

3… According to his abundant mercy … God, the Father of our Lord Christ Jesus, … rebirthed1  us2 into positive relationship with himself: making us who truly accept and follow Christ, to be his New Covenant sons and daughters3.  The Father chose to give us a reason for, and path to, confident4 expectation of blessed outcomes, through the resurrection of Christ Jesus from the dead.  4This New Covenant provides us with a pure, incorruptible, immortal inheritance, held in trust for us1 in God’s spirit realm2: for all 5who are kept by the mighty power1 of God, through their Faith unto Salvation: prepared to be fully unveiled during2 these latter days of this dispensation of Grace36We greatly rejoice in this Salvation, although now for a little while, when occasion arises1, we are wearied through many various trials2 7that test the trustworthiness and resolve1 of our Faith: which is much more valuable to our future than the gold of this world, which will, in the finale, be destroyed.  Even though our Faith is tested2 through the many demeaning, stressful, and life stealing methods invented by the world, we and our Faith can, in the time of judgment, be found standing tall in God’s praise, honor, and glory.  However, this is possible only through our steadfast following of the enlightenment provided to us through Christ Jesus: 8whom we Love as the Father Loves1, even though we do not now see him in the flesh.  Even though his flesh is not now present, yet believing in his Covenant we rejoice with joy so glorious it is impossible to fully describe in human language; 9and at the end of this proving period we call life on Earth, he will manifest the ultimate harvest produced by our personal Faith1: the Salvation of our soul2.”

“13Therefore, restrain and direct the operations of your mind, be sober in your desires, thoughts, emotions, and behavior, and have Holy and purposeful expectations unto the end1 for the spiritual/mental increase and blessed outcomes that are promised to be manifest in your lives at the revelation2 of Christ Jesus314Behave yourselves as obedient children, not fashioning1 your lives to embrace or tolerate the lusts you had in your years of spiritual/mental ignorance, before your enlightenment in Christ: 15but to the same degree that he1 who called you to Holiness is Holy; you are to become Holy in your entire spiritual, mental, and physical behaviors216This is necessary because it is written in God’s Word1: You must become Holy, because I2 am Holy and I created you to live in my image3.S

17If you petition The Father, who, without respect of persons, has predetermined1 his Covenanted response2 based upon each person’s total individual behavior3, and expect him to respond favorably, pass the time of your sojourning4 here in alert awareness that you can cause yourself great disappointment and harm by ignoring, or trying to sneak around, God’s instruction518You now understand that you were not redeemed with corruptible1 things, such as silver and gold as in the Old Covenant traditions passed down to you by your ancestors.  19You have now been redeemed with the precious blood of Christ Jesus, as the blood of a lamb without blemish or spot120This New Covenant redemptive ministry of Christ on Earth was indeed planned, energized, and set in motion1 before the foundation of the physical realm, but not brought into manifestation until these last times: to be witnessed by, and of benefit to, you.  21This means you who, through accepting the influence of the Holy Spirit provided by Jesus, believe in God, who raised Jesus from the dead and gave him glory, now1 have the security and opportunity to put your Faith2 and hope3 in God, instead of any worldly or ‘religious’ system.

22You have retrained and purified your natural minds to obey God’s Truth through yielding to and obeying the instruction, and utilizing the attributes and powers, of the Holy Spirit: in your development of a sincere1 outward attitude2 and behavior3 toward one another.  Now see to it that you fervently develop a sincerely pure, spirit depth4 attitude and behavior toward one another23You are capable of this transformation because you are born again1 into a new Kingdom2: not born of corruptible genetics3 as in the natural world, but of incorruptible spiritual genetics formulated, nurtured, and matured through the Truth, power, and fruit of the Word4 of God which Lives and abides forever.  24I implore you to allow and achieve this transformation, because all flesh is1 as grass, and all the glory of Humanity2 is as the flower of grass.  Grass withers, and its flower falls away, 25but the Covenant of the Lord endures forever.  This Covenant is the Word of God, which is preached1 unto you through the authentic gospel2 of Christ3.”

1stPeter, 1:1(1) written primarily to migrant Jewish Christians from Israel who took up residence in these regions – a migration brought about because of the persecution of Christians in Israel – but also written to Gentile converts; 1:1(2) Asia Minor; 1:1(3) Christians that lived in these remote Gentile regions of the world, all now incorporated into western Turkey, were ministered to by the Apostle Paul during his missionary journeys.  Since we have no written record of Paul going to these regions, his ministry was probably carried on through word-of-mouth, and through the letters written and circulated to them.  There is evidence in the letters that we do have, that Paul wrote (at least) several more letters than we presently have in our canon of Scripture [1stCor.5:9; Eph.3:3-4; and John in 3rdJn.3:9] – although, what we do have is sufficient to understand what we need to understand in order to live a victorious life in Christ.; 1:2(1) foreordained [pre-creation] system for the operation of all God’s Creation; 1:2(2) prior to any of His creation that pertains to Humanity; 1:2(3) enthroning the Holy Spirit as ruler of their life; 1:2(4) gradual and continuous washing: “sprinkling” [KJV] is a reference to the ‘line upon line’ and ‘precept upon precept’ cleansing process referenced in Isa.28:10, 13.  This is the work of the Holy Spirit in our life, and we benefit if we listen and follow; 1:2(5) This is God’s planned process for the sanctification of our whole life through our powerful and focused, yet peaceful, effort to receive the anointing and cleansing provided to us through our taking advantage of the presence of the Holy Spirit in us – which is provided in unlimited abundance: God’s Grace.; 1:2(6) plethora; 1:2(S) Lev.11:44; Isa.28:8-13; Jn.17:17; Acts 26:18; Eph.5:26-27; 1stThess.4:3-4; 2ndThess.2:13; 2ndTim.2:19, 21; 1stPeter 3:14-15;    1:3(1) We were ‘birthed’ at the creation of the original world, in the first Adam, then died spiritually [being in his spiritual-genetics lineage] when he died spiritually.  Being ‘birthed’ into a family is better than being adopted, and much greater than being an orphan.; 1:3(2) nullifying our inherited spiritual desertion and death; 1:3(3) and that status will be maintained unless we choose to reject Covenant relationship with God; 1:3(4) new and lively; 1:4(1) allotted, secured, and insured; 1:4(2) Heaven; 1:5(1) ‘dunamis’; 1:5(2) this use of the word “in” [KJV] means: being done, in process – thus it is current and extends into the future; 1:5(3) our personal lifetime is counted in the phrase ‘the last time’ (“these latter days”); 1:6(1) because of the philosophical conditions in the world; 1:6(2) provings, smeltings;     1:7(1) metal; 1:7(2) smelted, purged, purified; 1:8(1) the quality and quantity of God’s Love: “agape”; 1:9(1) the ultimate reward for which we have run the race of Faith: paid the tariff; 1:9(2) the eternal blessing of personal identity in God;    1:13(1) end of your life, or the end of his dispensation of Grace – whichever comes first; 1:13(2) return, re-appearing: personal life-revolutionary enlightenment through the Holy Spirit; 1:13(3) the time of the actual manifestation of the promised spiritual, mental, and physical life status of God’s end-time ‘MAN’ – also current day manifestations of Salvation as we receive healings of spiritual, mental, and physical infirmities; 1:14(1) preparing and arranging; 1:15(1) God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; 1:15(2) As previously stated, this is now possible through utilizing the attributes and powers of the Holy Spirit.;1:16(1) His Covenant; 1:16(2) God; 1:16(3) God created us to develop into His designed MAN that lives and behaves in accordance with His ultimate design: “in my image”; 1:16(S) Gen.1:26-28; Lev.11:44-45; Ps.86:2; Rev.22:14; 1:17(1) ordained; 1:17(2) based on the conditions of his unalterable Covenant; 1:17(3) according to our true spiritual/mental/physical beliefs, intents, thoughts, and actions; 1:17(4) You are only a visitor on Earth, on your way back to your home in God’s spirit realm: where you came from, and to which you are returning.  The voice of the Holy Spirit is your guide and prompter of the ‘homesickness’ residing in your heart: that sense of propriety calling you to the Holiness that dominates your spiritual homeland.  While here, we are called, as citizens of Heaven, to rule our life [with the help of the Holy Spirit] by the rules of God’s Kingdom: our true Home.; 1:17(5) personal and ‘body of Christ’ instructions; 1:18(1) perishable, degradable; 1:19(1) This is a reference to the blood, taken from a lamb without blemish or spot, applied to the altar of God on the Day of Atonement under the Laws of the Old Covenant [Ex.5:27, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Rom.5:6-21; Eph.5:27; Heb.9:14]; 1:20(1) everlasting plan created by God and Covenanted with himself [since there was none greater] – ‘carved in stone’ (unchangeable); 1:21(1) till the end of this dispensation of Grace – which can come at any time; 1:21(2) spiritual belief and security; 1:21(3) mental belief and security; 1:22(1) non-hypocritical; 1:22(2) mental interaction; 1:22(3) physical interaction; 1:22(4) heart, spirit, core motivated; 1:23(1) born: re-birthed through truly accepting a new set of beliefs, into a new Kingdom, and live your life by a new operating system through a new and improved set of priorities, standards, powers, and goal – all empowered by the Holy Spirit that now lives in you; 1:23(2) the  spiritual Kingdom of God [Kingdom of Heaven]; 1:23(3) human manufactured sperm, precepts, desires, or achievements; 1:23(4) Covenant; 1:24(1) things of the natural realm are; 1:24(2) each and every human being; 1:25(1) demonstrated and taught; 1:25(2) good news message [‘rhema’]: precept demonstration and instruction; 1:25(3) Christ Jesus when he was in the physical realm, and now Christ the Holy Spirit who lives inside you
