B13-  2ndPeter 3:9-18[KJV+]9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you; 16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and for ever.  Amen.”

B13-  2ndPeter 3:9-18[EV],    “9The Lord is not slack1 concerning his promise2, as some men judge3 it advantageous to themselves to delay or avoid4 fulfilling their promises; but the Lord has judged it advantageous to us for him to be longsuffering toward Humanity5, not willing that any should perish, but that all should have a chance to come to repentance6.S  10However, the day of Jesus’ second coming and God‘s judgment will surely come, as a thief in the night1.  In that timeframe, the created physical universe shall pass away with a great noise2, and its elements3 shall melt4 with fervent heat, including the earth and all the works5 therein6: all social and atomic structures shall be completely incinerated and dispersed.

11Seeing then that all these things in your life shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all Holy spiritual, mental, and physical lifestyle, 12eagerly anticipating and fervently living toward the coming of the day1 of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved2, and the elements thereof, with super-intense heat, shall be disbursed3 into a subatomic essence413Nevertheless, because of, and in accordance with, God’s promise, we look forward to1 new heavens2 and a new Earth in which dwells righteousness.S

14Wherefore, beLoved1, since you anticipate such things, be diligent in your adherence to the Gospel of Christ, so he will find you to be in peace, without spot, and blameless when he suddenly comes; 15and sincerely note that the enduring patience and delayed return of our Lord works to the advantage of our being successful in receiving the Lord’s full Salvation when he does return1.  Even our beLoved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given unto him through the Holy Spirit, has written unto you about all these things, 16as is the case in all his letters1.  In them, he speaks of these things; of which some are difficult to comprehend, with which they that are ignorant and unstable in the gospel of Christ wrestle2, as they do also with the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction3.

17Therefore, beLoved1, seeing as how you have foreknowledge of these things, be very aware of your beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behavior, unless otherwise you also, being seduced into following the error of the wicked2, fall from your own steadfastness3 of True Faith in Christ – thus losing your reward; 18but to the contrary, grow in Grace1 and in the knowledge2 of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.  To him be glory both now and forever.S  Amen.”
